Originating in the Latin term pax, the peace It can be defined in a positive sense and in a negative sense. In a positive sense, peace is a state of tranquility and stillness ; instead, in the negative sense, peace is the absence of war or violence .

To level politician and for him international right , peace is the situation and mutual relationship of those who are not at war. It is, in these cases, a social peace , where good relations are maintained between communities of individuals.

Along the history , social peace was not always considered a good thing. Some villages, such as vikings , based their development on the looting of neighboring communities, so they exalted the warriors and their virtues.

Peace can also refer to treaty or agreement which is established between rulers to end a warlike conflict.

When peace refers to the individual level, it usually refers to a Inner state devoid of negative feelings Like hate or fury. A subject in peace is one who is calm with himself and, therefore, with others.

For the religion , peace is also a greeting , since it is a value that one desires for oneself and for others. That's why expressions like "peace be with you" and, in some masses, includes a kiss on the face to the person that is next door.

Finally, we can say that the Roman Pax (Roman peace) is a concept that refers to a government which exercises unilateral power, without controls and without respect for the rights of citizens.

Movement for Peace with Justice and Dignity of Mexico

In some countries where social and political conflicts they are severe and have led to the territory being constantly repudiated by war and violence, born movements advocating peace and try to end that state of violence and insecurity. Such is the case of Peace Movement with Justice and Dignity originated in 2011 in Mexico.

Due to certain decisions taken by the Mexican government, in its anti-drug struggle, many reprisals have been generated that have led to a state of uncertainty such as society that it has been necessary for the civil society will rise with a slogan that prays "Die better"and that consists of a satire to the one raised by the State in that fight against the drug market.

This movement was born in April 2011 and was promoted by the poet Javier Sicilia, who, after suffering the death of his son (killed by individuals who were part of organized crime) brought together all Mexicans to demonstrate against the violence, both of the criminal groups and that which was carried out by the security forces that depended on the State of Mexico.

Many organizations that fight for the attainment of human rights in Mexican territory and outside it, joined this movement and said accession concluded with the signing of a national pact against insecurity, signed on June 10 of that year in Ciudad Juárez. Little by little they were approaching the voice of all the settlers, getting the State itself to openly dialogue about the strategy against organized crime and on June 23, 2011, the Dialogue for Peace was held in Chapultepec Castle.

At that meeting the state was required to clarify murders and disappearances, the completion of this strategy based on violence and the taking of new measures to combat corruption and impunity and rebuild the damaged social fabric. Despite this, these demands have not been fully met and the struggle continues between military groups that depend on the State and persons belonging to organized crime and crime.
